Description

STM-VII Digital Stromer Viscometer

Overview:
The new STM-VII digital Stromer viscometer is suitable for the determination of KU viscosity in coatings, paints and related products. This instrument is a digital display type, no weight is required, and the LCD screen displays KU value, gm value and reference mPa.s value (or cP value) at the same time, simplifying the test procedure.

Meet the standard:
ASTM D562 Standard Test Method: Determination of KU Viscosity of Coatings Using a Stromer Viscometer
GB/T 9269 “Determination of viscosity of coatings: Stromer viscometer method”

How it works:
The principle is to dip the offset blade into the test sample, and use the load value at 200rpm (corresponding to the weight mass of the mechanical Stomer viscometer) to represent the viscosity of the sample, that is, the gm viscosity. The gm value is usually converted to a KU value (Krebs Unit) to represent the viscosity of the sample.
The instrument has RS-232 serial printing interface, which can print and display the results online. The mPa.s value (or cP value) is converted according to ASTM D562 standard and is for reference only. 1cP=1mPa.s. Considering the different habits of internal and external users, the instrument randomly provides 1 500mL sample cup. STM-VII can be displayed in English.
