GA-EDX-8833S XRF fluorescent sulfur analyzer

1.Introduction

At present, the restriction and control of sulfur content in petrochemical products, especially in oils like diesel, gasoline and lubricant,  has  become  the  focus  of  environmental  protection  across  the  globe.  The  oil  sample  with  high  sulfur  content,  during combustion, will generate sulfur dioxide that further  bebomes sulfite or sulfuric  acid via  chemical  reaction to  corrode  engines.A  large amount of sulfur oxides discharged  into air is  main cause of acid  rain. The sulfur in gasoline, after combustion,  becomes sulfate attached to noble metal coating of catalyst, and then causes vehicle exhaust to not able to meet statutory standards. It is therefore  imperative for us to  reduce sulfur contentin gasoline.

GA-EDX-8833S Portable Monochromatic Wavelength Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence Sulfur Meter is the latest  high-performance  portable  meter developed . The instrument conforms to ASTM D7039 (Standard Test Method for Sulfur in Gasoline and Diesel Fuel by MonochromaticWavelength  Dispersive  X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometry), which is used for detection of sulfur content in gasoline and diesel to  meet national V and VI Standards. It also meets sulfur content detection requirements of<GB252-2015 General Diesel Oil>and<GB17411-2015 Marine Fuel Oil>.

Using high-through put full-focus hyperboloid curved crystal, theinstrumentmonochromates target  characteristic X-rays from X-ray tube and focuses them on sample to selectively excite light elements  within. This technology reduces background interference, improves peak to back ratio, and has lower detection limit.

3.Performance Advantaes

Conforming to National Standards:

Meeting test requirment of Sulfur in Gasoline and Diesel in ASTM 39 (Standard Test Method for Sulfur in Gasoline and Diesel Fuel by Monochromatic Wavelength Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometry).

Test Range:

With a unique optical path, it has a minimum detection limit of 0.5mg/kg, which meets test requirment of Sulfur in <GB252- 2015 General Diesel Oil>and<GB17411-2015 Marine FuelOil>.

Accuracy:

Forlow content oil samples,i.e.,10mg/kg fuel, the repeatability RSD is less than 5%.

Portability:

Small, light and portable. Meeting customers’on-site analysis needs.

Rapid Analysis:

Sample is placed in a disposable cup, with analysis time 60-300s.

Convenience:

No consumables, no vacuum pumping, and no sample pretreatment.
