Summary
The absorbance tester is designed according to the basic parameters and requirements of GB/T1540-2002 paper and board absorbance determination method (Absorbance method). This standard is suitable for determining the water absorption of various paper or board surfaces. However, it is not suitable for accurately evaluating the writing performance of paper or cardboard.
Paper and board surface water absorption (Cobb) value: unit area of paper and board under a certain pressure, temperature, in the specified time surface absorbed water, measured in g/㎡.
The formula is as follows: C= (G2-G1) x 100. Where: C-Cobb water absorption value; G2- Weight of the sample after water absorption G1- Weight of the sample before water absorption. Paper and board absorbency tester is a conventional instrument for paper and board surface absorbency test, also known as paper surface absorbency weight tester. This instrument adopts the Cobb test method in various methods of absorption test, so it is also called the CObb absorbance tester.

Parameters
1. The inner cross section of the metal cylinder is 100±0.2㎝ (the corresponding inner diameter is 112.8±0.2mm), the height of the cylinder is 50mm, and the contact part of the cylinder torus and the sample should be smooth.
2. Absorbent paper quantity is 200 ~ 250g/㎡, its absorption speed is 75mm/10min. When the absorbent paper single-layer quantity is less than 200 ~ 250 g/㎡, multiple layers can be used to meet the requirements.
3. Smooth metal flat roller: the length of the roller is 200±0.5mm, and the mass should be 10±0.5kg.
