Melt flow rate (MFR, เช่น. Melt Flow Rate) refers to the weight of the melt passing through the standard die of the melt flow rate meter every 10 minutes under a certain temperature and load. It is also called melt index (MI, เช่น. Melt Index). MFR indicates the flow properties of thermoplastics in a high-temperature viscous flow state. It is one of the important parameters for the processing and molding of polymer materials, and indicates the relative value of the viscosity of thermoplastic melts. The MFR of thermoplastics varies with their molecular weight and molecular structure. For polymers of a certain structure, a large MFR indicates that the molecular weight of the polymer is small, and the flow properties are better during processing. During processing, the temperature can be slightly higher than the temperature, and the applied pressure can be smaller. ในทางตรงกันข้าม, if the MFR is small, it indicates that the molecular weight of the polymer is large, and the flow properties are worse during processing. GA-1002 Melt Flow Index Tester

1. Install and debug the melt flow rate meter.
2. Turn on the power. Perform the following operations in sequence: set to time-controlled sampling; press the reset key; press the Mon key to enable the display
3. Reset: set parameters ((1) preset test load, เช่น 2160 (ก)-W key; (2) preset experimental temperature, 230℃ for polypropylene (พีพี) and 190℃ for polyethylene (วิชาพลศึกษา). ตัวอย่างเช่น, 190 (ค)-T key: (3) preset sampling time such as 30 (ส)-t*d/m key); press the QD key to start the work, and the display automatically displays the actual temperature.

4. Clean the material cylinder of the melt flow rate meter.
5. After the rate meter is heated to 190℃, put in the piston rod for preheating. After the temperature is constant, remove the piston rod and load the material into the cylinder through the bucket. Add a small amount, compact it with the loading rod, and then add a small amount, repeat until all the material is added. This can prevent bubbles from existing in the barrel. After the material is loaded, put the pressing piston (the load itself is 3.187N). Preheat for 5 นาที. After the temperature is constant, press 21.18N load on the pressing piston rod.
6. When the first scale line of the pressing piston rod is parallel to the loading port, cut off the extruded material strip and discard it. ในเวลาเดียวกัน, start timing. When the preset cutting time is reached, cut the first sample and measure 5 samples at a time. When the second scale line is balanced with the loading port, stop cutting. 7. Enter the average weight value (in g), press the tdm key, and give the melt flow rate MFR8. Clean the barrel and the discharge port, wipe the material cylinder and the piston rod. Turn off the machine and cut off the power.
