GA-5060 Scott Volumeter

Uvod

GA-5060 Scott capacity meter is designed and manufactured according to national GB5060-85 “Metal powder bulk density measurement method Part II: Scott Capacity Meter Method”; It also complies with the international standard ISO 3932/2 “Determination of loose density of metal powders – del 2: Scott Volumeter method”. The test device is suitable for the funnel with a diameter of 5mm which cannot flow freely through the funnel method and the powder with easy to change characteristics by the vibrating funnel method.

Načelo:

The powder is put into the screen in the upper combination funnel, naturally or by external force into the cloth box, alternately through the four pieces of the cloth box tilt Angle of 25° glass plate and square funnel, and finally into the known volume of the cylindrical cup, in a loose state. Then weigh the powder in the cylindrical cup.

Instrument composition:

2.1, the upper combination funnel: assembled by two stainless steel conical funnels, which are separated by a column, and put into a stainless steel screen with a diameter of 1.18mm.

2.2. Cloth box: The cross section is square, with four 1mm thick stainless steel plates inlaid diagonally on the aluminum frame, and the front and back walls of the frame are plexiglass plates; Stainless steel plate can be pulled out, easy to clean.

2.3, square funnel: 1mm thick stainless steel integrated molding, tilt Angle of 60° square cone, bottom diameter of 12.5mm×12.5mm.

2.4 Cylindrical cup: the volume is 25 cm3 × 0.05 cm3, the inner diameter is 30.m soil 1 mm. Stainless steel material

2.5, bracket: used to support the upper combination of funnel, cloth box, square funnel, cylindrical cup and other components.

Test steps:

3.1 Carefully place the powder on the screen of the upper combination funnel with a spoon, pass through the cloth box, the square funnel, and flow into the cylindrical cup until it is filled and the powder spills.

3.2 If the powder cannot pass freely through the screen, brush with a soft brush to make the powder pass through the screen. If not, then the metal powder is not suitable for the determination of loose density by the Scott volumeter method.

3.3 When the powder of the cylindrical cup is spilled, scrape it flat with a stainless steel plate. Vendar, do not compress or bring out the powder in the cup, let alone shake or vibrate the cup.

3.4 After scraping, gently tap the cup to make the powder sink, avoid powder loss in the process of moving, and do not touch the powder on the outside surface of the cup.

3.5 Weigh the metal powder in the cylindrical cup to an accuracy of 0.05g.
