The reflectance tester is mainly used for the determination of the hiding power of white and light paint, and is also often used for the comparison test of paint and color paint. C84-III reflectance tester conforms to international standards ISO 3905, ISO 3906, Chinese standards GB/T 13452, GB 9270, GB 5211.

The instrument consists of probe, host, standard plate (black and white pieces), working ceramic plate (black and white two pieces) and so on. The probe adopts the principle of 0° irradiation and 45° reception. When the reflected light of the sample acts on the surface of the photocell, a signal is generated and input to the DC amplifier for amplification and the reading is displayed (see the optical schematic diagram).
The indicator value of the instrument is proportional to the intensity of the light reflected by the surface under test.

How to use:
1. Connect the probe with the electric control box and turn on the power supply. Put the probe on the black standard plate, turn on and preheat for 3 minit. When connecting, it should be noted that the groove on the plug should be aligned with the bump on the socket of the electric control box, and the plug should be pinched when pulling out, the metal slide sleeve of the plug should be pulled back, and then the plug should be pulled out, and the wire should not be pulled directly.
2, sifar: Put the probe on the black standard board, adjust the “sifar” knob of the host, so that the host number is displayed as 00.0.
3, calibration standard value: put the probe on the white standard board, adjust the “full” knob of the host, so that the value displayed by the host is consistent with the calibration value of the white standard board. Changes allowed 0.1. Repeated adjustment times (sifar, full).
4. Measure RB value: Move the probe to the black working ceramic plate with the sample, and the value displayed by the display is the RB value.
5, Measure the Rw value: Move the probe to the white working ceramic plate with the sample, and the value displayed by the display is the Rw value.
6. Calculate RB/Rw value of coverage ratio.

Catatan:
1, in order to ensure the measurement accuracy, the measuring ambient temperature should be close to 25 ° C, the instrument should be calibrated frequently.
2, in order to overcome the photocell light fatigue phenomenon, the probe should be placed on the black standard plate during the test gap time. Reduce plug insertion and removal, so as not to damage the plug, resulting in poor contact.
3, the white standard board should be away from pollution, otherwise it will affect the measurement reading.
4. The white standard board can be cleaned with high drawing eraser if there are stains.
5. The preparation of samples shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant standards.
