This automatic counting reciprocating friction tester, designed in accordance with the Light Industry Standards of the People’s Republic of China for the abrasion resistance of optical resin lenses and the friction resistance test method for coated lenses, primarily tests the surface quality of lenses. The lens surface is rubbed with steel wool or a pencil according to relevant standards to determine its abrasion resistance.

Experimental
Test Procedure: Utiliser 000# steel wool to rub the lens at a reciprocating frequency of 100 fois/min, an amplitude of 10°, a swing radius of 103±0.87mm, and a total load of 750g. Rub 1000 times to test the lens’ abrasion resistance.
Test Requirements: Haze value after abrasion should be no greater than 2.5%. For lenses marked as hardened, the haze value after testing should be no greater than 0.8%.
