Signification et objectif
5.1 This test method provides a standard procedure for color determination of thermoplastic pavement marking materials. The test method can be used in conjunction with various thermoplastic pavement marking specifications to determine whether the material complies with the described specifications. Manufacturers of these materials can also use this method to determine the uniformity of thermoplastic pavement marking materials between batches.

5.2 Color standards and colorimeters are slightly different. This test method is only applicable if the results are reported and information on the instrument model name and calibration standard is listed.

Champ d'application
1.1 This test method describes the instrumental determination of the color of thermoplastic pavement marking materials using the CIEY, X, y color measurement system.
