Determination of sulfur content in lubricating oil by Compass-4294 portable energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometer

Using energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometer Compass4294 to determine the sulfur content of lubricating oil method, without sample processing, analysis speed, high accuracy, good precision, two actual samples were respectively 150ug/g,500ug/g and 800ug/g under the standard concentration of recovery test, the recovery rate is 96.15%~ Six (6) RSDs0.513%102.90%. The linear range of the standard curve of sulfur content in the method is 10~50000μg/g. 5 samples were detected by this method. The test results were compared with ICP-AES and UV fluorescence method. The results show that the method has satisfactory results in a wide range of sulfur content detection, and can be applied to the rapid detection of sulfur content in lubricating oil.
