Determination of cadmium and lead in polymer materials by energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometer EDX8000B

Determination of cadmium and lead in polymer materials by energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometer EDX8000B

The application scheme uses the energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometer EDX8000B to determine cadmium and lead in polymer materials. According to the instrument analysis conditions, 6 standard substances with different concentration levels containing cadmium and lead are determined to establish a calibration working curve, the linear range is 20ppm-5100ppm respectively. The detection limits of cadmium and lead are 2.7ppm and 3.1ppm respectively. This method is applied to the determination of European standard substances ERM-EC680 and ERM-EC681k. The actual measured values of cadmium and lead are in line with the nominal values of the standard material certificate, and the recovery rate of cadmium and lead in the actual sample is between 90 and 110%. The precision of this method is less than 10% for the determination of cadmium and lead in both the standard material and the actual sample.
