Corrosion resistant stainless steel material, each side has a series of different heights of thin teeth, both ends of the outer reference teeth in the same horizontal plane, forming a baseline, along the baseline arrangement of the inner teeth and the reference teeth to form a progressive clearance series, each of the inner teeth with a given clearance depth value marked. When used, the comb gauge is placed on the surface of the sample so that the comb teeth are perpendicular to the surface of the sample. Then the comb gauge is removed, and the maximum clearance depth of the inner teeth wetted by the paint is the wet film thickness. It is a simple and fast tool for measuring the wet film thickness of paint, varnish and other coatings during construction. The wet film thickness gauges of Standard DA are precisely machined by high precision CNC machine tools with an accuracy of up to 3 micmeters.
